toyota crasida got spanked?
my friend had an 89 crasida and we raced. his is a rear wheel drive. I took him of the line every time. Not a really fast car. was i glad or what. first he said he was getting an 89 golf. but it didn't work out. then he brought the cresida and look what happend . still unbeatable by my friends some of my freinds cars. thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as I know, Cressida's are rear wheel drive. they have a 3.0 ltr. straight six that is related to the 7mgte(86.5-93 supra motor). i don't know all of the Cressida's models/configurations, but my uncle had a rear wheel drive Cressida.

Don't underestimate the Cressida........
I had a 89 as well. It is RWD with a 3.0L inline six as previously mentioned. 190HP and 182ft/lb of torque. It is all top end, rather slow off the line but tell your friend to stomp on the gas around 60mph and press the ECT (elctronic control transmission on the console) and to hold on it is a detuned engine from the Supra. I got it up to 130+ and it was still pulling (I was young and dumb then) 7 years ago. I think he would walk you above 100.

Those cressidas must be geared really crappy. With 190hp and RWD that thing should be able to fly. The 89 NA supra only had 10 more hp, but the cressida weighs less. the 88 has a 2.8 annd makes 150 something hp. I didnt know a cressida was that bad(190hp!) I'm impressed.
It wont take my 78-84 810/maxima(if ever I get one) with the motor from my 83 280ZXT aprts car in it. Yep I'll have the fastest old 4 door japanese car around.

one of the guys that works at courtesy has one.. it's an ugly POS, but I've seen it outrun kaleb's GXE a couple times on the highway.. it's a pretty even match actually. my car got him every time, but it took a while to do it as I always let him or Kaleb make the first move, and I got to play catch-up every time. I still got 'em though!
