Trip reset busted help.

its "replaceable"
you gotta take the cluster apart, and get a new trip meter to put in there.
hard part is getting the new trip meter thing-a-ma-jig.
I busted mine, so i used it as an excuse to swap in a VE cluster (after doing some minor gut swapping, since I had them both out...)

it's totally doable to swap the trip thingy. sadly a whole unit from Nissan is slightly over $100.. the important thing to check on a JY unit is that the return arms are not broken. I have 4 clusters and only ONE of them had an intact trip counter. All the rest would not return one or more of the numbers to zero. If you need help figuring out how to take the trip/odometer thing apart i can take some pics of what to do.

i have a spare cluster. i will cross my fingers and hope the trip works, the car it came from looked like it came from someone that had no idea what a trip is menty for. it reads 7xx something last i messed with it. thank guys. you are a huge help.
