I have a k&n cone air filter, is there a way to use that and just get the tube to make a CAI? Would it work just as good, or should i just pay for one?

 

at one point there was an adapter for it, but I'm not sure if it is sold anymore. you'd want to compare the size of the underhood filter vs. the one that is used for the cai. If they are similar you may beable to get away with just the piping (if you can get someone to sell it to you)
