removing rear bose speaker covers

removing rear bose speaker covers

bought 2 rear bose 6x9's and amp assembly at a junker today for my 92 and need to put them in...how do you remove those rear mesh bose speaker covers properly?

Your going to have to remove the whole rear deck. This is done sort of like the door panels (plastic holder thingamabobs) Than the back part of the seat must be pulled forward (push straight down HARDpush back and pull up)After you get the back deck off you'll see the screws to mount the speakers. If you want to make this an easier process in the future, you can now romove the Bose covers from underneath the deck. and either replace the covers with top mount screws, or make up a way of fastening them without the bottom mount screws. I left mine alone for security sake. Hope this helps out a little. Just remember you MUST remove the deck to get to the speakers, because the covers are screwed in from the bottom.
