Driving without power steering/breaks
Just a question but can this car be driven without both power steering and power breaks from the mechanical point of view? I mean without sustaining damage to those systems. Aside from the fact that you'll be sweating after a 15 minute drive.

power steering is not really an issue, unless you have never done any real labor.
brakes, on the other hand, I have taken my car out of gear, and tried to apply the brakes, and the car sill rolled. I had to force every single ounce of strength out of my legs, against the brake pedal and the seat, to get as much force as I could to stop it from rolling back down the hill (I sincerely believe it would have been easier for me to get out of the car, and try to push it back up the hill). this may simply be because I have abs, but still...

Ya it's pretty horrible. If possible leave the car there...although probably impossible if it's on the road, and do it at like 4 in the morning. When my ABS Actuator leaked out all the fluid, the brake light came on, and if you floored the brake pedal (there was no resistance), it did give a tiny bit of breaking force somehow. I used that with the parking brake to get home - and drove annoyingly slow (in rush hour) with my hazard lights on.

Ahhh ha - that's hilarious. I don't know but I had a close call on Mt. Washington - I was climbing with a buddy, and we had no rope by accident, and I was stuck on this rock face with hundreds of feet cliff below - I thought that was truly it - I got vertigo and actually saw death in front of me.
Also, I was in a high speed accident on the highway, where I was in the back set and the car flipped 3 times at highway speeds....the roof came close to crushing me.
There's been other incidents too, when we were young, we stuck a 22 caliber rifle bullet in a vice then heated it up with a blow torch, and it fired off...

In the last 100 years, there have been two great inventions. First, there came the tow truck. A marvel in it's time, especially for those stranded moterists who never mastered clicking their heels together (and saying "there's no place like home") for their car to return safely to the drive way.
The second, a tow dolly. This grand tool allowed those with a secondary vehicle and tow ball to pull thier own vehicle home. As time went on, those who could not afford a tow dolly, rented one from a moving company for a very small fee.
For pete's sake, anyone who witnesses someone continueing to click their heels together on the side of the road, give them this sign!
