Misfire issue

Misfire issue
Within the past 6 months or so my 91 SE has developed a slight hesitation/misfire just off idle(1000-1700rpm range) when taking off from a stop. Also when first started in the morning and put into Drive the engine runs rough(misses). After about 5-10 minutes its fine. Last month I replaced my spark plugs, cap, and rotor. The car has 282,000 original miles on it. Runs like new otherwise. So last week I thought I'd check the timing, and found that it was advanced a little(18BTDC or so). I adjusted it back to 15. About 4 days later on my way to work the car felt gutless under 2k rpms. Later that day I checked the timing again and it had retarted itself to about 5-10. I adjusted it back to 15 and it ran fine again. (still the hesitation off idle tho). The adjusting nut on the distributor was very tight and there was no way it came loose. Has anyone ever had a problem with the distributor like this? Would this be a distributor problem maybe? ECU?

highly unlikely that it is an ECU problem, most probably a bad/going bad injector, check resistance should be within 11-14ohms. don't know what could cause the timing to change like that? sounds odd.
if all that comes up fine then check TPS, IACV(maybe dirty), and MAF
oh and maybe coils
