New [Bigger] Ride

My DD will no longer be the Maxima. It'll be in the family, but I'll be driving this for work now
Excuse the dealers ads

It's a 5.9L 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. With an 8 foot 3/4 ton bed. 94k and change miles, and nearly zero rust.

I'll still be around probably, but I just want to thank everyone for taking the time to answer my questions and giving me a place to learn about something I've been interested in.

Yea I know dodge hasn't really built itself a great brand, but I'm hoping for the best. Hopefully it lasts.

Don't listen to the dodge naysayers, the full size v8 dodge trucks are pretty much major defect free. Very dependable trucks all around. There is a reason the full size dodge truck was the best selling truck for alot of years

Enjoy the v8 powaahs

See av and sig fo new ride

any dodge with an overdrive trans is likely to have failure unless someone was religious about maintaining it early on.

hopefully, this one has.
also, since it's a 3/4 ton, mebe it has a better trans?

and even if you DO have problems, these transmisssions should be way cheaper to rebuild, since there are more vehicles with the same transmission, vs a vg-auto.

same crap as far as engine/trans. my uncle bought a 96 B2500 (dodge van 3/4 ton) brand new in 96. It had the trans replaced between 00 and 05 (forget when exactly as i only recall which minivan of mine was in the shop at the time, my 96 caravan of course) at 66k or so. so yeah they are crap totally in my opinion.
