JDMblem(s)

So I found a source and ordered 3 JDM specific J30 emblems about a year ago. I don't think I'll ever get the two I've been waiting on, so i'll show you guys what I actually did get. I still need to file refund request for what Nissan Japan couldn't find, but at least i'm dealing with a reputable American source. Honestly, this is probably the coolest out of all 3 that I ordered, so I should be happy, but I wish I could have received at least one of the two I didn't get. The one which was the last that Nissan had in stock. Supposedly Nismo was reorganizing stock and couldn't track down what I didn't get. But I'm thinking I got middled

Looks like a Subaru badge, more than anything else...

Bill looks good holding that

I think I need the Twin Cam badge for mine.

I still need to get my AUS grille painted, too. The guy I know that has a booth in his garage got a new job out in Beaverton or something and he hasn't been here in a long time.

I like the fact that it has the right font - which is cool! That might look cool on a VE grill that's been 'retouched' with mesh, I think.

There's a funny story behind those Walton dolls. They were a giveaway in 2002, but most of the fans threw them back on the court at the game because officials were favoring LA, I was selfish and kept mine

There's actually a couple versions of this grille emblem. They both look the same, but the other one is meant for the 92-94 AUS/JDM grille and replaces the hamburger. I tried to order that as well, because I also have that grille, but there was no stock. The twin cam one was in stock, but it's been a year and I still don't have it.. Couldn't be too hard to find used though, in Japan.....

Yeah it looks kind of out of proportion on the stock VE grille. It's a cool peice though, the gold lettering is 3d against a gunmetal backing and coated in resin. It's a lot better quality than the USDA burger..

I had one of those Walton dolls, too, but I gave it to my son. My friend used to work for the Blazers and got fired when they canned Whitsett, along with about 50-60 other front office personnel. I don't think I was at that game, she just gave me a couple of them. I don't know where it is. My son may have added it to his beanie baby collection and we donated a lot of those to the Salvation Army.

I know I had a Sabonis one, too, possibly some others. I had tossed some of that stuff in my disgust at the Blazers after they fired her.

Oh, I picked up an additional 1978 7-up bottle about two weeks ago at a yard sale in Portland for $2. I have one my mom bought when they came out.

Yeah i've got one of the 7-up bottles too, although it's empty. I also have 2 of the Blazermania records. I wasn't even alive at the time, but still cool to have some championship memorabilia.

That sucks you knew someone who got the axe. That Nash/Patterson era kind of had to happen, although Blazer staff didn't necessarily have to go to improve the team... Paul just had to save a few bucks I guess to make room for those terrible contracts.

I'm going to Trinidad in a couple weeks... I'll see if I can't find any emblems there if I have time to hunt around. usually I don't go into the parts of town where I can get those things though. (white 'Mericans shouldn't venture off the beaten path without a local escort, otherwise you wind up dead....)

But if I get time, I'll poke around for some.

Well, I got my hands on a Japanese brochure a couple years ago and discovered the emblems, then tracked down the JDM part numbers, then I found a Japanese parts source and placed an order. But again, I only got 1 of the 3 that were supposedly available

I appreciate it, but don't go risking your life to find Maxima emblems

A couple scans I made from the brochure:

V6 Twin Cam

JDM/AUS 92-94 grille with the emblem. AUS version only came with the hamburger.

yeah, my AUS grille has a hamburger, not the oval you have.

I still need to get it painted and put my slightly larger hamburger in it's place. I might have to hit U Pull It again to see if they have any other emblems.

I found a similar one on a honda. I think it said v6 3.0L, but I lost it somewhere, before I had a chance to put it on (and it was chrome... would have had to paint it black to blend in with the paint...)

dunno if anyone will be interested or not, but i'll throw it out there anyway just in case :P

Trademe is the new zealand version of Ebay and has heaps of JDM Maximas & new zealand built Maximas for sale. Not that it'd be much help, but sometimes it's just fun to look at the pictures and you can see the JDM emblems/grills etc

here's a JDM with the VE for example, dunno what the differences are between the USA Maxima but i'm sure you'll spot some

I don't know how prices are there, but DOITNOW.JPG!!!!!!!
$2000/NZ= $1363.79/US
182,248km=113,089 Mi
That, here, is low mileage, and pretty well priced.

funny thing, i had to go to wally land last night. Their V6 emblems are $5.95, i was gonna grab one but i was short on cash and i didnt want to wait in their hour long lineups again

went to the junk yard today, came out with a V6 emblem, big burger off of a Altima, 2 Nissan logo's, Maxima logo off of a 2nd gen, and a Datsun logo for free, they said no charge
