My 94 SE project
My 94 SE project
Im going to be undertaking a bit of a project on this car, rebuilding, painting and doing the interior.
I thought it would make sense to keep it all in one thread as im bound to have pleanty of questions to fire at you plus it may all help someone else doing this kind of project.
First off the car is a 94 SE with VG30e (European Spec). Am planning a new paint job and have given it a light coat to see what it would look like.
Have removed air con (air con rad still to come out) as not needed in UK and frees up some space. Also disconnected coolant path from TB and Plenum (waiting for some new hosing see pic).
Cot a CAI coming along with a battery kit to get the battery in the boot (trunk lol)
At the mo, im just looking at getting shot of anything not needed in the engine bay before cleaning, porting etc.

Getting 1the seats re-covered in leather. White with a cherry red inset.
It is carnival red. The pic does make it look a little pink but it is deep red.
The white is just a primer. Working out what colours I want before getting it in a spray booth. All going to be stripped out but prob not till early next year.
Are 3rd gens hard to come by in the UK? Why not just find one in much better conditions? It'd be less headache.
Good luck with this long and tedious project, I hope you find it worth it in the end, stay commited, don't cut corners because it will cost you more in the long run ("cheap thing no good, good thing no cheap") and always use your fsm and the 3rd gen forums for reference.

They are pretty rare in the UK. I have only come across 1 other and that was junked.
The car is in pretty good condition. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a car it's age, but it is suffering the usual problems (exhaust studs etc) and there is alot that I think I can get out of it yet.
