Did some work on my car today, suspension

Yes, i should have wash it before taking these pics and in fact, i don't even remember when was the last time i gave it a wash. Anyway, here are some pics.

Put in new Blehmco rear sway bar links( the old one is showing some free play at the heim joint and start making some noise after about 5 years in the car) in today to finished the suspension upgrade, did the Tokico HP shocks and struts, Eibach spring, Blehmco rear parallel links and alignment last week. Right after it was done today, i took it out to test it, as Matt said it on this web site, it does make more noise anytime the car is not running on perfect pavement, my way to deal with it is to turn up stereo. The up side of this set up as everyone know is that the car come alive when you turn the steering wheel, the high the speed the bigger a smile on my face. Two thumbs up.

Nice! how much did those set you back if you don't mind me asking?
Did you paint the bottom trim on your car white to match the body, or did it come that way? I thought they had the blackish colored trim on the bottom. I like the white better!

I got my Links from Matt, and that set me back for about $400, Eibach from ebay $250, Tokico used from CL $100, and new sway bar link $50. Big smile on my face one high speed curve at a time, priceness.

And... what about the paint? Did you paint the lower parts of the car?

If you have em, can you post pics from under where the brake pipe plastic shield is?

I threw mine in the garbage but I redid all the lines so may get a new one. Also I'm curious to see how the fuel and brake pipes were routed (yours look OEM) around the side of the gas tank and it looks like around the radius rod bracket. I had a really hard time bending the fuel pipe.

Oh shoot - you have an SE, it may not be the same.

It's painted, originally dark grey.

NismoChi - you sure about the rubber mount stacking on the mounting of the sway bar?

Not saying its wrong and it may be designed that way, but I would have thought the adapter mount should be flipped and only 2 or 3 of those rubber jobs should have been used when talking tight control over the whole *** of the Maxima and with you spending so much on solid control arm mounts?

That's the correct way to put them together, although usually I see a short section of tubing between the center two bushings. notice how much free thread is on the end of the bolt? usually there's less thread than that. but that's generalizing on *all* of the sway bars I've seen, not just the Addco or Whiteline or whatever that one is.

As for the rear sway bar links.... shoulda contacted us about just replacement heim joints. we will be glad to sell a replacement set of heims at a discount, as they are wear items and the rest of the link should be in good condition. If they get noisy again, let me know and we'll work out a deal on the replacement parts to save you some bucks.

OK ............... just thought you are fitting a serious sway bar but effectively doubling the relative movement between the sway bar and the hub before it starts doing anything to help control the wheel.

Your website has a photo of the mount I would have used - basically a pin with just 2 rubber mounts sandwiching the sway-bar end .

Anyway - as I said - only interested as I have never had to fit such an aftermarket animal to the Max yet

Yeah, every sway bar is different. It's all in the end mounts and how the manufacturer wants to make them.
Whiteline does it a completely different way- so they're adjustable.
http://www.whiteline.com.au/vehicle_swaybars.php
That's how I'd prefer them all, but we can't always get what we want.

Good to know, Matt. I"ll keep that in mind. Again, 100% satisfy with all the product you made.

Looks like Whiteline makes universal type adjustable links. Maybe they would work on the Max.

they might... but the links that come with the aftermarket swaybars are usually just fine. the only thing you could do with an adjustable link is to adjust preload on the bar, not adjust the bar's rate. you can adjust preload on any of the others by sticking a washer or two between bushings to move the ends of the bar up and down. thus I don't see the point in using anything other than what's supplied.

Now if the bar itself had multiple holes to make it adjustable......

Do you have a large stereo? Looks pretty low in the back to be Eibach

Well, good guess. I do have two 10" subs in a box, along with two amps. BUT i don't have a spare tire in the trunk, don't think the spare is gonna fit in the front with the 13" front brake.

No, but your spare will fit on the rear. put the spare on the rear and move that tire to the front if you have a flat.
