Dura Lube???

what does everyone think of dura lube? I am wondering if it really stops from heat build up, stops knocks ,and cleans your fuel injectors completely. let me know if anyone has tried this product and if it really is worth the money.

Well, I'm using Dura Lube right now [much to my female friend's delight... ]! But in all seriousness, it DID stop the hard idling I used to have. Other than that, I can't necessarily vouch for the other benifits.

I actually got the whole kit (gas treatment, A/T fluid, and oil tratment), but have only used the oil treatment thus far. Been too lazy to get around to using the rest of the stuff. But it's really hard to gauge whether I've gotten a better hp increase because right around the time I got the stuff, I took off my cat. So my findings are kinda skewed a bit. It DOES seem to run cooler, though....

Dura-Lube along with others is now in court w/ the FTC for false advertising.

It's for that "running engine without oil pan and valve covers while spraying water at it" thing isn't it?

Shell and Castrol also. But the article is dated 1999. Don't know what has happened since. But note you don't see these types of ads any more. LOL

DuraLube…

Here's my $0.02…

I'm kinda skeptical about all these kind of 'oil-additives' but I tried the DuraLube anyway (pops wasn't using it, so what the heck!). I didn't notice any kind of lower temperatures (my car started overheating soon after I added the stuff - water pump was going bad quickly!). It did, at first, seem to make my Maxima run more effortlessly and accelerate easier, but it only seemed to last about as long as it took for me to pour the stuff into the engine. Now that I've had quite a few costly repairs done to my car (H2O pump, belts, alternator, rebuilt tranny/clutch replacement) I've noticed that it runs MUCH better, but I can't say that it's because of the DuraLube being in there or not.

Good Luck if you try it, but it seems to me to be nothing more than expensive engine oil.
