just a hypothetical question...

so... im kinda sorta thinkin about doin stuff to my max.. like.. way on down the road.. and i rele like the whole hellaflush stuff.. the look is awsome... so i kinda wanna do that to my max.. and i wanna get steel wheels that look like the spare tire but alot wider.. i still want like 15s or 16s.. but like 15 or 16x10
so i was wondering if anybody knew a website or a manufacturer that makes wheels like that. thanks..
heres kinda wat i want my max to look like to be honest..

not hard to do, however, I think x10 is gonna be a little wide, even with a fender rolling.
maybe x9?
finding the best offset to go with it may be a little difficult, so you may wanna find the best backspacing (offset is half of width+x, while backspacing is side of wheel to mating surface:

edit: just to be sure, I don't support this, as it cannot be good for tires, but it'll all come down to simple fact vs. my opinion
I don't mind the in-between look, of a slightly stretched tire, but some of the wheels, where the lip is an inch from the tires

ah; check out http://www.summitracing.com. was just there looking at some pretty cool wheels.
I think the silver "D" windows by Cragar would look sick for this. unfortunately, I only found 17x9's so far (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3458912/) but they have other wheels, in other sizes.
edit: meant to mention the 5" backspace may be a little much without spacers, on those, too.

hellaflush is for *******, gays, and men who like little boys. And for the casual Michael Jackson wannabe.

just get something-by-8.5" with a ~30mm offset and stop trying to be queer. stretched tires are a waste of a wide wheel.

Agreed looks like a 2 year old running around in his fathers shoes.

my only concern on fwd is how is the handling or better yet how worse is the handling??

But MPO, what you llike is what you like.

what's best is to just use a proper size wheel and a proper size tire. 17x8.5 will possibly fit.. i know 17x8 will. and a 235mm/45/17 tire or something similar. 245 might be a little wide for the fenders but i'm pretty sure a 235mm tire on an 8" wheel will fit.

and 15" wheels are gonna be bad for handling because of how spongy the tire will be... very unresponsive and it will want to roll up under the car instead of being stable. 17" with a stock 25.5" tall tire is probably the best ride/handling compromise on 3rd gens.

and yes i know i was exaggerating about the first part of my first post in this thread but i wasn't TOOOO far off ibbannedfor2weeksanyways

wat. but yeah if you actually plan to DRIVE the car, like on paved roads and such, at speeds over, say, 5mph, hellaflush is NOT the way to go.
