i have that too, when i got my 3rd gen i believe i had OEM corners and they were flush to the rubber, one corner light cracked so i replaced it with a OEM and it was never flush, installed my clear corners and the passenger side has a bad gap and the drivers side is pretty bad too

did you push them back into the socket? it's kinda like your shoulder, you have to pop it back into place

that said, tinting lights is . that's why they're called "lights", not "darks"

yeah im pretty sure i popped them back into the socket...seein as the black brackets that hold them into the fenders are broken(i was told they still hold in w/o them) i would think they'd go back flush a lil easier than with them still attached?

P.S. ok mr. look here i have a pearl maxima that has black accents on it...clear corners is gonna look horrible with what im doin with the paint scheme lol and plus dont knock my style lol or in the words of people before me "Dont Be Hatin" lol

it should still go in flush, i'll have to fool around with mine to see if i can flush them up

i dont mind a light tint on taillights and headlights, but a month or so ago i was behind a G35 that had a RIDICULOUS taillight tint, had to be 5% or max about 10% and when he hit the brakes i could barely see the red LED's light up and it was night so i cant imagine in the day how hard it would have been.

anything darker than 80% tint on lights is too dark. it's never ever worth sacrificing safety for "looks" which imo tinted tails don't even look good

fallacy found.

they aren't actually smoked from the factory, it's just that the red is inside the clear instead of the other way around. if you knocked out the red stuff from the inside you'd see that the outer shell is totally clear. it's just that having the red sunk further in allows it to be kinda shadowed.. but there's absolutely no tinting involved.

only thing 'smoked' from the factory is the UK corners.

*sigh*
before Jared comes and flames everyone (again), let me explain the perspective.
lights are used because you can see them, regardless of most circumstances. otherwise, we would use signs (or had gestures, still).
when you tint lights, you reduce the visibility of those lights. if someone does not see you as well as they should (think heavy rain showers), and rear ends you, you will get a ticket, due to illegally modified, non-DOT approved lamps being used. your insurance goes up, your car won't be fixed (unless you already pay hella cash for full coverage, to begin with, and then only maybe), etc. etc.
I don't approve of altezas, because they look like a fairy has sprinkled its gay dust everywhere, or the driver wants everyone to believe so, and can fly his car to Never-Never Land.

i don't have altezzas altezzas are for flaming *******.

i got the most stock-like lights i could find to replace the tinted lights that the previous owner had on the car. so try knowing what you're talking about before making insults about things you know nothing about especially considering most people i've asked thought the taillights i have were OE for the car even though they aren't. They're pretty similar to the ones found on Toyota Highlanders or mid-90s Accords stock. Tho I will say i wish the white area were a LITTLE shorter than it is, but oh well, they didn't give me the pen to draw them.

and ben I only flame people who simply aren't intelligent enough to make the right decision on their own, and that Darwin hasn't managed to take care of yet. i've NEVER flamed anyone who didn't deserve it, and frankly they deserved worse than what i said anyways. Anyone who chooses looks over safety is simply utterly retarded. Actually I didn't even flame anyone in this thread... all i said was that tinted lights are gay
