So I've been exchanging emails with Koni for the past week regarding a warranty issue. The nut began to back off the threaded shaft on the top of the strut, and damaged the threads. This may sound like an installation error, but it happened to both front struts. They were torqued to exact specifications, with all hardware provided, on brand new bearing mounts. Koni said they would honor the warranty, however they do not produce the part anymore.....

So, it looks like we're down to Tokico for the best out there for our cars - strut-wise. Someone else can call and confirm this finding. It's pretty disappointing, to say the least.

A second call to the headquarters today with customer service revealed that both the 86-2435 and 86-2436 have been "discontinued - no replacement" for three years now. Anyone who has purchased them since then must have just been buying off shelf-stock. Oh well, I guess......

I purchased a set of all 4 Tokico Blues for $313.00 shipped from carcandymotorsports.com. I will report back on their quality of business when the package arrives in the mail.
