parts car is gone, new project in it's place

My wife made me get rid of the parts car. I still have a few things that I pulled off (I will update the FS thread).

The wife was a little mad because I added this project to my junk collection:

1971 Honda CB 175
I don't know if I am going to keep it. It needs a lot of work and I have never worked on a motorcycle before. I am in the process of getting the title for it. The bike hasn't been registered since 1991!

looks nice. Is she mad because you got another project, or a motorcycle?
anyway, imo, I wouldn't keep it unless you want a learner bike, or don't commute far for work. 175 is a little on the small side for me, due to low power, size and the fact I work 30 minutes from my house :/

but it sure looks like a lot of fun!

Holy Crap. This was a flash back for me. My Dad had two of these that I used to sit on and pretend I was riding, lol. I was like 5 or something. He bought a pair with intent to combine them, never panned out though...life got in the way.

Anyhoo, nice find. Looks to be in decent shape.

My work is 1.5 miles away, with a maximum speed limit of 25 mph. I live up on a hill (too steep to walk or ride a bicycle), so it would work for me if I want to keep it. I actually would rather have a Ruckus or something, but those are like $1500. This one isn't running right now and has no title.

The wife was mad because I got the bike while I still had the parts car in the back yard.

Plus:
1) I kept the interior, exhaust and two tubs of stuff from the parts car
2) I helped someone fix a truck in my driveway last week
3) The garage has four sets of wheels and tires stacked up in it
4) I left my air compressor in front of our garage fridge the other day
5) we are supposed to have a yard sale on July 4th and my crap is in the way!

haha

That red Max was your project and now you got rid of it? Wow what a shame she was such a cherry but I guess too much mulla to keep her. I'm very fortunate cause wifey thinks its great that I have positive outlets in my life like working on my project car's, yes I have 2 autos I'm hooking up. I have my 89'GXE and my 96'Volvo 850 GLT. Both are in very good condition and run good, plus I got excellent deals on them , especially the 850. Your Max looked great, I would of never sold that.

No, I still have my red Maxima. I bought a black one to part out and it was in my back yard for a couple of months. The motorcycle is now in that space. She was mad that I had both the black Maxima (parting it out was my "project") and the bike.

urrenty, I have 3 cars total -- Red Maxima, Infiniti FX35 and a GMC diesel 4x4 + the motorcycle.

I remember em. IIRC it right, crank starting could be a little tricky.

Bike sold. Full asking price, even though it didn't have a title.

The ignition wires were disconnected and it needed a battery and the tank cleaned. It still needs TLC and the guy that bought it plans to take it all apart and restore it. I am glad it went to a good home. He was happy as a clam to take it off my hands.
