Sloppiness in steering...bushings?

I can feel some play in the steering especially when I am driving. I would say it makes the car feel a little sloppy at the steering wheel. What could be the cause of this? Any bushings? Control arms? Rack n pinion?

it can be any one of those that u named or the inner and outer tie rods or your power steering. only way to know is to get it checked out.

that sounds to me like rack bushings. if it feels fine, aside from loose steering (doesn't do stupid stuff while turning, for example), that's the most probable cause.

Check your 12 mm bolt on your steering spline. I thought my rack was bad for sometime, until I checked it and found out it was loose. I had considerable play in the steering wheel because of that. I tighten the bolt and the play in my steering went away. My steering wheel is still off center by a degree or two, but it is much better. I believe my alignment has suffered as a result of that. Time to get another alignment now.

im having some play in my driving too, i think its cuz of the wore our tires that came with my rims (i will get new ones soon). the car randomly trys to go left or right on its own.
can sway bar bushings be the cause of this too or the rack bushings?
