suspension advise

Just got a 3rd gen again due to slamming my 4th gen into a jersey barrier :'(
Had a 3rd gen back in 07 had some 2" no name drop springs and stock struts handled good for my second car. Worked alil better for my 95 w/ s-techs and kyb agx struts.
Unfortunately I am on a budget still so will be going w/ ksport springs. I don't know what struts to run though. I've heard hp blues are barely stronger than stocks and the only gr2 info I have is from buddies w/ z31 300zx's. PLEASE help me if you have any experience w/ either of these struts. All input pos/neg is appreciated. I don't autox but like to enjoy my daily drive and spirited runs w/ my buddies if that helps at all. Thanks =)

Well, there's really no point in asking as there's no struts at all available for the 3rd gen except KYBs and other stock replacements. You can't find/buy Tokicos or Konis these days, so the question is kind of moot as there's really only one option.

Welcome back to the 3rd gen

ive got KYB GR2 on Ksport GT's. couldnt fine Tokico's or Koni at all. youre probably just going end up using stock replacements and replacing them when they blow

I got konis and I might go back to kyb gr2. I had monroe cheap struts when I first dropped my maxima and the drop looked great and handled fine until the struts wore out. I replaced the monroes with koni...I didn't see much improvement in handling or anything. I also noticed because koni are dampeners, the front of my maxima sits an extra inch or so lower. So I think I might pull the koni's out and put on some kyb gr2 in hopes to get my front end back up that 1 inch its dropped. If that doesn't work, I might be looking to replace just the front springs, which are suspension technique, 1.5 or 1.8" drop, with eibachs which are 1.2" drop.

koni, front and back, with 15-20k miles for sale in a couple weeks, maybe...

BTW for everyone that said my Ksports arent a 2.2" front/2.0" rear drop, i checked it out and they indeed are. mine are Ksport GT's so maybe regular Ksports are a lighter drop

Its a VG SE 5spd.

Ok awesome to be back in the 3rg gen scene lol. Just figured out that my old rims don't fit either ='( so much for running 19x10's.

And so I'm limited to GR-2s, HP blues, and autobone specials lol are there any benefits to the GR-2s over the HP blues or vice versa?

Chrome91: how does your maxima sit and handle on the KSports? I'm looking to slam this max like my old one....and hopefully keep the sway @ 125mph down to a minimum lol

link for Tokico's? cause all the sellers i bought from messaged me a few days later saying "we were just told these are discontinued" even though everyone on here knew for months this was in June or July IIRC

EDIT- as well i called most places in the US and Canada, my buddy called all of his connections, and the guy at shox.com called his connections and NOBODY had Tokico or Koni

Kyb's are still junk dude. Plus my kyb's were on the car when I purchased the car. Don't care about them. Gonna soon start contacting koni to see if we got a group deal going if they would make some again.

Give it a try and let us know. As far as I remember nobody has been able to successfully buy any for a few years now. I'd bet if you order them they'll contact you a few days later and say they're unavailable.

But yeah, give it a go! That's the only way to find out.. Us telling you one way or another isn't going to make them have any in stock or not..

Also ill be glad to inform you since I guess no one rly been up to date with the for sale section in da past week but......mofoaka selling mintttttttt intrax AND eibachs! Both with ridiculously low mileage ( not that it rly matters unless you see the actual structure of the springs crumbling)

I've been doing the run around for a few months lookin for springs I hnestly wish I got the eibachs but I alrdy paypaled someone for intrax by the time I found out. Goodluck tho I wld nab either one of the springs or even both for future project car lol
