Passenger high beam prob

My 93 SE's passenger high beam doesn't work. When I activate the highbeam switch or the flasher, it doesn't light at all. But the low beam works. I just changed the bulbs and it didn't solve the problem. What are the possible causes of this problem? Is it possible that the light socket is the culprit?

I've read some threads similar to this but they say that it's the signal switch itself (http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=349477_0_0_). It costs $87 in Autozone. If this is the case, how will I replace it?

almost definitely a switch, it's the problem of 99% of the headlight problems.
hit up the classifieds, find a partout.

swapping it is an easy job, requires a phillips screw driver as the only tool, iirc.

SO the wirings don't have anything to do with it?

If so, after I remove the column cover, are there any other things to remove to access it?

I have the opposite problem,if my turn signal arm is not perfectly centered the DS high beam will go on by it self! I've had quite a few dead battery mornings cause of this,so i ahve to push the arm forward to keep this from happening. ugh

bit driver is usually too big to fit into the steering column cover... so a proper screwdriver is a must. and the one tool i could never find every time i needed to take my bottom cover off

I had that problem before, especially for the 5th screw near the back.

Anyway, I just want to make sure that it was the switch before spending ~$70 for a new switch. I'm not sure if this has something to do with it, but sometimes when i signal left while the steering wheel is pointed to the right, it feels hard to push it down and it doesn't feel right when I got it to that position.
