When it comes time to be able to afford the wheels, I will probably sell my stock ones.

Any of you guys think the wheelbase and tire width increased might help the looks? I've been looking at my GXE from the rear for a few weeks and I've started to notice that with the stock tires (how wide are they 6.5 or 7?) it just doesn't seem to fit. You guys know what I mean? Look at a BMW 3, 5 or 7 series 4dr. The tires are wider and they have a very mean looking look to them. I've been wondering how it might look with 17x7.5 or 18x8.5 (I don't want 18's though) and maybe if you got a spacer so the wheels stuck out less than a 1/2 inch (to line up with those stock fender flares). I'm not talking some ghetto wheels out 4" from the side but I'm trying to figure out how to get that mean BMW stance. Any ideas?

Bman, thats what I meant. I didn't remember what it was called so I just said wheelbase. Thanks for the help. That makes complete since on the tire sizes you mentioned. I've seen other 3rd gen's and I could never figure out why my tires look wider than their's and its the stock 6" wide wheel. I'm just glad I finally got my ST springs and Tokico's. Now my max has a much meaner stance. Do any of you know if 17x8.5 is a very uncommon wheel size? I always see 17x7 and 17x7.5 but 8.5 would be great for what I want. I don't want to get 18's since it's too big for me but I wanted some wide wheels. I guess 7.5 should be good too.
BTW, isn't the 92se the fastest maxima 0-60? I remember searching for 0-60 times and I saw a list that had a 92se as doing 6.5sec 0-60. I think they said it was from Car & Driver. If that time isn't right, maybe the driver just shifted like a **** since that's as fast as a n/a 90+ 300zx! Now I gots to get me a 92se!
