headgaskets apparently sucked ***** on MKIII

also the AC is no longer a issue looks like 4M have their own AC belt like 5M, so my boss said he'll try to help me fix the clutch or pulley, worst case i can just take the belt off and disable it

going to swap headlights on the 3rd gen tomorrow to give away the Euros, 3rd gen headlights suck so bad to do

That's toyota's engineer's fault. factory toque on the head bolts was like 50lbs. they've since changed that to closer to 75.
and people STILL don't know to have that checked.

oh, and I wanna modify what I said about hondas.
a good deal is a good deal, no matter what brand.
My brother traded a 92 prelude for a bad supra short block, and some other random crap he had in his garage.
needs a motor, but runs and drives. If anyone knows where to find a good h22/h23 in OKC, lemme know, okay?

Hondas might have a bad tuner rep/slow as hell usually but theyre solid, ran a CarFax on my moms '88 and some fukcer rolled it back about 10 years ago, it has 23x,xxx i think right now and it should be at about 650,000-700,000km right now. so it was really rolled back

i need him to send me the inspection for my insurance then i can transfer it all over

Quoted for truth.

People are stuffing LS1 engines in them though, with a little massaging. Hmmm... LS7 would be pretty fun...

That's funny we had 2 of they my dad had one and my lil bro' had one as well never really had alot trouble with that model Toyota Celica Supra...Back in the day before TRD there was a Hi-Po parts vendor called DOBI that use to offer partss for these cars such as lowered spring and Hi pressure gas shocks, air dams, foglights, rear window louvers, swaybar kits (which were ADDCO)...etc! You should be able to find those sporty OEM 14x7 wheels that were on the Later 85 Supras and the Celica GTS....
I had a 74 Celica that was my first car man I wish I still had it! I would've lowered it, sway bar'd it, sidedraft carb'd it, cam, headers, exhaust without a problem....The guys I ran into in Hawaii that had this same setup were awesomely quick nimble cars rolling thru the mountain roads like little race cars.....I love those Toyotas they're bulletproof and over engineered....Maybe you might drop in a Chevy mouse motor who knows I would keep it as is so you'll be more reliable! Here's a pic of those wheels:

a guys taking it tomorrow night was supposed to go yesterday but i have to get my insurance off tomorrow and put it on hold til i pick the Supra up Saturday.

sad when i look at it, no cracks/scratches on the dash, original glass all around including windshield, etc. no headlights or grille so it looks blind. grills going to get attached to my toolbox at work

flipping $150 for it is about 1/50th of what i put into it in the last year, if i could get more parts off of it i would

yeah i can drive 5spd now, learned on someone elses car. fine except starting off i pop the clutch a bit. but it took only a hour or so to learn

guy got the car was ready to knock his teeth out (said "sure you'll be glad to see this piece of scrap out of here") and other general comments like that. he also said he was gonna rip off my exhaust and stuff because he likes it and will keep it himself til the weekend to get parts, i was ready to say you know just shut the fukc up its hard enough as it is, i dont need to hear what youre doing to it

i though getting it on his trailer, he just went christ this thing is low. it bottomed out going on his trailer, my muffler scraped and he peeled out up it

Supras inspection came up clean, front struts have a sweat (but i have Tokico's coming from Ebay) and needs new tires but otherwise immaculate.

they were supposed to be, but even with some 3mm spacers they were rubbing on the inside. bringing it out anymore and being so low i probably would have had to cut the fenders and put flares on

eh RWD can pull it off to a point (except when it gets ridiculous like 305 in the rear/275 infront or something), but 265 on the rear and 245 on the front looks good

tried to register the Supra, insurance put the date as the 18th i said that i need the pink slip fax'd early because im picking it up Saturday, but i leave the city on Friday for it and i dont know if the registry out of town is open Saturdays. might call tomorrow and see if i can get the pink slip date changed

got stuff done though, poly bushings are coming as well as the struts

I found a clean S13 and an even cleaner 1987 Z31, both at great price. In fact I got the Z31 price down by $800.00 all it supposedly need is a fuel pump. I'm leaning toward the Z...what do you think guys.

if you want boost get the S13, you can always boost the KA or SR/RB swap it. Z31 if its NA its easiest to leave it that way. S13 is better for drifting but if you want something classier the Z31 has more class than a S13

Supra made it home good yesterday, just needs a radiator and the AC squeak fixed. never noticed the radiator had 2 sweating cracks on the plastic part but oh well

SR > KA according to Import Turner. But let me recheck on that.

yeah KA suck, especially the SOHC. i think just North America got KA, no Japanese 240 (technically 180sx/200sx) got KA, it was just a afterthought for North America. SR20 and CA18 will always be better than KA

thankfully my boss said he can order the radiator for me tomorrow and do it at work, saves alot of hassle. oddly enough he saw the 3rd gen on the trailer the day it got taken away

um.... why? wide tires = lots of grip = go fast around corners

255 in front and 275 in rear fit very well on 86-89 Z's... could actually go wider in the rear but i only had a 9" wide wheel.

early Z31 (84/85) not so much.. they upgraded the fenders on the 86 and never looked back after that. Tho they still put stock 215's on the 86 just like they did on the earlier ones, it gives them more room for growth. I bet i can do 295's if i had a 10" wide wheel.

i havent even technically driven the Supra yet just drove it home, saw the rad was leaking, drove it to work, and radiators for MK1 are looooong gone. not even Toyota itself has them anymore. cars in a bay at work and i had to send the rad to get re-cored, $270

only good thing is tomorrow the rad is ready and i can get it in, change the oil/filter and air filter, fix the squeak, etc. and get it all done in one shot
