nobody has cuz there isn't really room for one. maybe you can do a VG33ER from a truck if you cut a massive hold in your hood.

I don't see where the 3rd gen engine bay is more cramped than the 4th and 5th. Personally I like the simpler setup and wider power band to the supercharger.

Its not, but you aren't understanding the difference of the available superchargers for the different generations. The 4th and 5th gen can use an aftermarket centrifugal supercharger designed for them. Because of this supercharger's size, layout and location it fits under the hood without modification.
There is no bracket to make it work for the 3rd gen, so the best option is the OEM roots type supercharger from a VG33ER. This supercharger sits on top of the engine which adds to the overall height. Since the Maxima was never intended to use this supercharger the hood wasn't designed to accommodate it.

another modification required to make the roots style vg33er charger work is modification to the "frame" rail on the belt side of the engine. There isn't enough space for the charger belt. There's a reason the vg33er has a longer crank snout length that wasn't on earlier VG engines...
yeah, I know there's more info on this, it's been asked hundreds of times, on dozens of forums, and I don't care to explain further.

right... the timing cover on a VG is stamped steel with bolt bosses. The timing cover on a VQ is cast aluminum with bolt bosses integrated into it. plus the accessory layout is a bit different.
