shaking problem

shaking problem

i have a 93' SE and when im stopped and the car is in gear the car shakes (vibrates) but if i put it in nutreal it stops. also the car stalls every now and then when i stop. Anyone have any ideas or similar problems and had fix? Any info. would be appreciated! thanks!

The idle speed is too low because the TB/intake is full of crud.

Brubenstein, where have you been. You are the ORG's hailed transmission guru.


The only thing that solved my vibration issue was replacing the motor and trans mounts. The dramatic difference was felt in the driver's seat....sometimes I had to rev the engine just to make sure it was running.

Umm, I needed a break from the same questions over and over...

Anyway, in the original post it also said, "the car stalls every now and then when i stop". This means there is something wrong with the way its running. Not that the motor mounts aren't bad, but I'd check the basic engine stuff first.
