Hi, I need to replace a leaking oil pressure switch for my 92 SE. Has someone done this without taking out the alternator? If yes, please share how you did it. Thanks in advance.

Its on the back of the block by oil filter. Not even close to altenator that is on front of motor.

I have jacked up the car today and seen the oil pressure switch is up frond and next to the alternator. The oil filter is in the front for this year model.

Not on the VE. The oil pressure switch is located on the front of the vehicle.

By looking at photos, it looks like it could be difficult to remove it without moving it. What you can try is remove the adjustment bolt on the bottom and move the alternator all the way up to see if you can get enough room to get to the switch.

Is it correct that all the 3rd gen SE model uses VE30DE engine?

Only the 92-94 model year SEs have it.

Changed the switch. It is very easy...all you need is a 27mm or 1-1/16 inch deep socket. There is enough room to put a socket on top of the switch.
