i did take it back and they didnt find a leak anywhere and its fully charged.
they said it might be the compressor.
this might be a dumb question but can it the thermostat?

is it the manual climate control? The **** should have some resistance as you put it into hot or cold. If not, your blender door might be shot.

charging the AC is just one aspect of repairing the AC system. is the shop looking into it or something? the compressor will click when it's running.

thermostat...not the engine one...that doesn't have anything to do w/ your AC controls.

like another poster said...check the controls...there should be some resistance...since that's the mix door.

run the front defrost...does the compressor click?

you might have a plugged system. did you convert over to R134a? was the system flushed out correctly? is the orafice/TXV operating correctly? check the lines..is it all warm..is it some cold and some hot? like i said these are things that a competent shop be able to determine. you can't just "charge it" and expect it to be running perfectly. technically you NEVER have to charge a system...the fact you have to recharge it means you have/has/had a leak. that means dirt and etc may have entered the system.

IMO thats a crock attitude - one cannot say a system is fully charged unless the compressor is actually running

remember our cars have a heater valve which is on the firewall and has 3 or 4 small vacuum lines that dry up split and or fall off

its purpose is to close the heater hoses flow into the core and airbox when you climate
control is on full cold
