My shaking problem

Hey guys, I went to a mechanic today and he said the shaking problem is due to the engine mount. He said there are 3 totally, to replace them $100 each.

Is the replacing work labor intensive? Or this problem could be tranny mount? I noticed it becomes harder to shift from R to P than before.

Thanks.

there are actually 4 mounts. 2 engine mounts, and 2 tranny mounts.

the engine mounts aren't bad to change- they'll take about an hour for both. jack up car, support engine, remove lower crossmember and engine mounts as a set. change the mounts, replace.
(sounds easy, but try to move a 600lb engine 1/4" while you're flat on your back under the car)

tranny mounts aren't bad either, but they're a little different trick than the engine mounts.
