Timing belt

I was thinking since my 92 maxi gxe idles rough and it takes a sec or two to start up and has bad gas and loss of power I've check my injectors and cap and rotor I was thinking maybe it has something to do with the timing belt or tensioner

I used to have the same problem when I brought out my Maxima from a multi year hibernation.

I changed the MAF, spark plugs, wires, and fuel filter. That fixed the problem about 95%...enough so it was still decently driveable. But after I changed the timing bet, everything was solved 100%...drives and idles smooth as butter

Why wont you stop thinking and start listening and doing?

You have bad gas? .............. then what the hell are you posting here for - go fix the issue - drain the tank and replace it with good quality stuff before you brag about knowing about it.

If you have error code 51 you have error code 51 and a timing belt or anything to do with it cannot possibly cause that - while you have error code 51 you WILL have a loss of power - now get off your backside and do something about it rather than think about it.

They all have a reading of 12 ohm they are good I'm sure
As usual unchallenged nonsense posts re injectors being 100% ok when measured around 12 Ohm here is responsible for garbage and useless threads like this

Injectors contain an electrical and a mechanical part .................. being able to measure 12 Ohm coil resistance says absolutely nothing about the mechanical integrity of the injector - it simply says the coil resistance is OK. The injector can still mechanically malfunction and you can even have a leaking O-ring/s on those 2 funky cylinders - you yourself said the 2 cylinders are not contributing to the engine's health in the other thread.

Now stop buggering around and listen to sanity as posted many times in the other thread of yours - if the injectors measure fine ito resistance then it must be a mechanical issue with the injector or cylinder or inlet - go pull the damn injectors and look for the problem

I cleaned up the connectors and replace the one bad injector from one I got from wrecking yard
So what? ........................ how do you know THAT injector is fine? - did it change the engine's behavior at all? ....................... in the other thread you said you have 2 funky cylinders not doing anything - why then change only a single injector?.

Work with the people here and you will get sorted pronto .................... alternatively you will get crapped on pronto too.

This is why I say you need to be more pro-active and participate properly.

No need to spend that lot of money - simple test is to simply move an injector from a known working cylinder to the funky cylinder's rail position - if the problem moves with the swap you know for a guaranteed fact its the injector and you can spend the money on a new injector with a clear conscience - anything else is just a guess

A lifter broke and locked the cam, I'm glad to see it's something else and not a timing belt issue......

I think that may be my next/last mod. The only one I don't have. Of course after I get mine running the way I want her too.

Of course I meant Ferrea springs and valves since JWT only makes ecus for the VE.
