Sensor in bottom of tranny

So I've searched the Chiltons manual front to back several time looking for this part, but I could not find anything.
Can someone please fill me in on what this part is called?
I'm working on a 90 model Se.
It is a round sensor on the bottom of the transmisson with a few wires running up beside the intake.
Mine is cracked and is leaking gear oil terribly!! Any advice or answers is greatly appreciated

Is it for the 5spd? if it is than i believe its the back up light switch that turns on the reverse lights.

Lol. Yeah. I would order one from Courtesy but if your funds are low then Orielly's has them.

Its kool. Just unscrew the lil 10mm screw, be careful and use a flat head to slowly pry it out.(they are known to break easily) If you do break it like I've done in the past I use the cord to pull it out. Remember when you do this all the gear oil is going to drain out. Matter of fact this is how I drain my gear oil considering its the lowest spot on the trans.
