window problem

the driver side rear door power window quit working. i know nothing about power windows. i can hear the motor working when i push the switch and it appears to be on track. but the cable is loose like it came off a guide perhaps at the bottom. and the window can slide up and down freely. is there a diagram for cable routing ? any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the regulator broke. It's very common. Pop off the door panel and have a look.

yeah regulator broke. I had to change all 4 of mine. You can get them for like $20 on ebay $30 with the motor.

I have not done rears but I did both front on my Maxima with same problem, you don't need any wire routing, just buy the window regulator without the motor if you are sure your motor works good.

I removed door panel, take out some screws, remove window, unlatch some wire connectors, nothing complicated, it is very easy and this is coming from me which I'm a noob on cars maintenance for either electrical/mechanical issues.

I bought the window regulators from auto zone since they have lifetime warranty not bad for $42 each ( I can't find them on ebay for less than $30 without motor )
