Maxima Modding Questions

Ok, I've caught the modding bug from a friend who is modding his Geo Tracker. I wanna know, what can I do with my baby . Any suggestions or input is needed. This will help me form a better idea of what I want to. Thanks.

well... waht do YOU wana do LOOKS?... or Preformance?

starting to mod ::: i would start with intake. learn everything you could about intakes. to put a CAI (cold air intake) on your max you will need to buy a CAI kit. or just make one.. lol take a look at my page if ya want http://maxima.cardomain.com/id/chrischeezer ... you can see my custom made "RAM AIR" CAI

peace dude

Geo Tracker? Man, if that doesn't rate up there with Rabbit Convertibles and VW Bugs as CHICK cars I don't know what do! (no need to ridicule him... much )

Anyway as far as mods go, read the stickies and look at some member's pages to get some ideas. There are a fair number of "mild" mods out there, but very few hardcore mods for the engine or body (crazy body kits, replacement body parts, etc). A few things you can buy for the interior. Wheels, though costly, make a big difference, as do lowering springs. Some of the nicest Max's out there just have a nice set of rims, tints, a simple bodykit, and lowering springs. Not too many full "riced out" 3rd Gen Maximas out there, but this is a good thing.

Do some searching and browsing and you should get a feel for what's available and what's not.

I've seen some pretty cool lowrider Trackers, but I couldn't imagine trying to squeeze any real power out of one. Some hydrolics and wire rims?!!!! Velvet interior!!

Ugh, personally I equate cars like that with the phrase "pimp-mobile"!

Pimp mobile!!! BIG PIMPIN!!!

Yeah, but I still respect the lowriders. They are just as into thier thing as we are with our performance, if not more!
Ever been to a lowrider show? Ususally not many people speaking english but the "euro" cars are cool to see.
So what are you doing with your mam? Show, or go?

She's gonna be all go man,all go.
Have to have some way to race my friends, one has a 1970 Mustang Automatic, and the other has a 1969 Camaro 5spd.

Once I get all the stuff done to my car, it should run 15's, maybe high 14's.
