Nokya bulbs
I recently purchased Nokya Arctic Blue bulbs for my '91GXE. I had been running my PIAA Superwhites. Not too long after installing my Nokya's I noticed that one had gone out. I removed it to find that the bulb was still good, but that one of the prongs had got too hot and melted the female side of the connector. They say 45/65 Stock -> 80/100 Nokya. I am confused to what the 80/100 Nokya is referring to. Anyway, I noticed that there was no potting compound at the base of the Nokya bulbs. My PIAA's and Sylvania Silverstars both have the compound. Is this necessary to keep the prongs from overheating or do i need an upgraded harness to run the Nokya's? Or are the Nokya's just plain crap? On a further note, I have had absolutely no problems with the PIAA's since i bought them a year and a half ago. Any idea's?

I think what they are reffering to is stock wattage is 45 watts for low beams and 65 for high. The Nokya's are 80 for low and 100 for high.

i bought i set of nokya's in h-4 trim and i didnt like em at all sure they lit up the white lines in the road good due to the blue in the bulb but thats about it..overall performance night visibility sucked..so after buying all these different bulbs that said did all this stuff i was about to say screw the bulbs.but i gave it 1 more chance and i got a set of RAYBRIG MAGNUM'S they give off a pure white light.i didnt want or should i say i was tired of all this "performs and looks just like hid hype" crap really..and i got to say these light are awesome when i first installed em i was like wow these lights do work they were bright as hell and most important they lit up the road..the wattage rating on the bulbs are 120/115..i havent had any problems with my stock wire harnesswith melting/burning etc..but i must say i wont be buying another set of these because of the price but i guess thats what ya have to do to get a good bulb..i got a discount on them at 90.00..retail i think is like 110.00 or so.. you dont get much of a discount on bulbs..
but my next step is the real deal no more bulbs its HID time..
"i didnt get mine thru these people wish i did"
but heres a place that has all kinds of bulbs cheap

my nokya bulbs fried my stock wiring harness and i had to get the APC rewire kit. i did this mod about 4 or 5 months ago and i have had no problems so far. everyone i know that used these bulbs have had problems with them, so i would not reccomend that anyone use these bulbs. if they fry the upgraded harness that i have now i'm gonna be so mad....
