Where can i buy lowering spring?

I might have time later next week to comare a few parts if Courtesy Nissan has the build lists online.

i mean, you can still get stock parts for the maxima's suspension... and even KYB. Just nothing of sufficient quality for drop-springs. And it won't likely be any better (in fact, probably worse) for the Stanza.

O.T.
I have toyed with the idea of importing an 89'-94' CEFIRO from the Phillipines - $4-$7K for the car and $3K to ship it over and title it under grey market. However, this car is not attractive to me. I like the concept, but don't like the Ma' & Pa' re-hashed 240SX interior with 2 extra doors. I'd just rather have a 240SX.
Cool ride though.

i dont think any other vehicles struts fit 3rd gen because of 3rd gens low suspension travel, i went through that whole process when i lowered mine. i lowered it 2.5" in the front and 2 inches in the rear on KYB GR2's. oil pan was close to the pavement that and it scraped everywhere. apparently someone jacked all 4 of my strut assemblies at the junkyard

I was looking for a more budgeted alternative to the stock system as far as suspension is concerned. If the weights and rates on springs are correct for both, and are a minimal modification to fit...and cost even less than what is on our table, why not? It could be a win for us that don't have a lot of money to spend, and after hearing about the end of Tokico Blues being offered, could this be a good road to go down. Tony, sorry for derailing your thread.

I used to like a31's a lot because of the 3rd gen resemblance. I'm glad it's not the other way around, the 3rd gen is a way more attractive car, inside and out. Plus I'm no drifter or performance junkie. RWD and RB20 would be fun, but I wouldn't be burning up tires or gas like it's going out of style even if I had one. That's not to say I won't ever get one though.

The plain simple truth is that if you can't get something that will fit a maxima and be at least as good as Tokicos (if not better) then just leave your car at stock height. Using parts from an econobox won't cut it.

However a Z31 non-turbo front has the same outer diameter as the Maxima... if you want to start mixing and matching parts, I'd try putting a Z31 front strut cartridge into the rear housing of a maxima. The travel length is shorter on the Z strut than the Maxima strut tho (as well as the overall height), and the thread diameter might also be different.

dont know if it was mentioned yet but 3rd gens cant even use coilovers really, suspension travel is too short to utilize them. i know a couple people made their own years ago but how well that worked out i dont know

If you want 1.6" drop in Ride Height, here you go. B&G Lowering Springs http://www.octanemotorsports.com/89-...FQQEnQodyw8AfQ
Go to Rock Auto dot com and they have kyb front and rear if you just need new springs. I put 2" Lowering springs on my car. I couldn't tell you what brand they are, I just know I paid about $130 and ordered them online. I used monroe struts from auto zone to replace my old shot out factory struts. I went with a 16"X7.5" Wheel and 205.50.16 tires and there it still a gap of about 2 inches between the fender edge and the top of the tire. Although I lowered it 2 inches, I never hear the struts bottom out. I bottom out on some speed bumps tho
Im sure if you Google a variety of keywords you can find more options for lowering springs.
