Desperately need help removing rear seat off a '89 GXE
I found instructions, I've searched the forums, and I can't figure this out. Everything I have read says to just pull up, and the bottom part will come out. There is supposed to be two pins that you pop out by pulling.
I have had two people both pulling on one side, and nothing. No matter how much pressure we apply, the thing will not come up. Does anyone know if '89 rear seats are different than 90+ seats?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

there are two clips like you mentioned, the first few times, they are a real pain to pull up
you should be able to reach your hands under the seat and feel where each one is (one basically under the middle of each outside seat). Then put one hand on each side of teh tab and pull up as hard as you can. I usually get in the car completely and face the rear windshield. And then when it finally comes out, you hit your head on the ceiling
good luck and just keep trying

Thanks guys. I finally got it.
I broke one of the plastic inserts in the process, but at least I got it up. The plastic insert came up with the pin. It is still stuck in there. The facing forward/bump you head position was what finally gave me enough leverage.
Holy crap that was hard to get up. Thanks again.
