Power Vent

Was about to sign on for the CF hood but started to wonder about dropping a power vent over a pop charger. Any input?

Yes I know that would make it a CAI. I am sure I can make a piece of junk cover for it. I like the look of scoops but think the wind resistance/noise would outway the benefit. I am thinking more along the lines of a Cold air box. Under a Vent. Just replace the plastic pipe with some kind heat shielded tube, make an open top box out of whatever(I sould do more searching before I name anything),Relocate the battery, ect. You sould be able to get some pretty cold air into the engine as long as looks are no concern

Where to place the CAI

If you don't want to cut through your wheel well and place the CAI at the front of your car there's an excellent article on atmospheric pressure and the best place to put a CAI on your car at autoweb.com.au.
There's also a section on pressurised airboxes, siting cold air intakes and much more.

You'd want the Siting cold air boxes section'

Good luck.
