Master Power Window Switch Removal

I've read up on all the previous threads regarding the Master Power Window Switch in the Drivers door. I need to replace the one in my 92. I have read conflicting instructions on how to remove the switch, however. Does anyone who has actually done this have step by step instructions? Does the whole door panel have to be removed to remove the Master Switch? If not, what exactly needs to be done to get it out without damaging anything. Thanks in advance!!

Just remove the pull handle, there is a Phillips screw near the top of the handle that is visible once you remove the cover "plug". After that, lift the actual door handle up and use a thin flathead to pry that plastic panel up that is under the handle. Once that is out of the way you can remove the lower Phillips screw that anchors the pull handle. Now you can remove the pull handle.

There is another Phillips screw in there that secures the trim panel to the door, remove that as well. Once that's removed you can pry up the trim panel. There's a clip near the front (on the dashboard side) that you can free up with a flathead. Once you pull this trim piece up the master window switch will be connected to the bottom side. It's held in with a few Phillips screws. Take them out and unplug the switch, then reverse for the install.

^ I used to do that back in the day.

OP: It should not be that hard to pull the switch out. If you are not sure how to do it, practice on a car at the local junk yard.
