What's that smell?

I never smell anything, but my friend told me that everytime he's driving behind me and I accellerate, it smells bad. I dont know if its exhaust, or something, but it must be pretty bad if he can smell it in side his car. Like i said before though, I never smell anything during or after driving around. Nor while its idling. What could cause a smell only while accellerating? Could it be my CAT? Fuel Injector cleaner? Oil change needed? (its about 3k now)

...or Maybe he's just hatin cuz Im always in front

If it's a sulfur or rotten eggs smell, it's probably your cat plugged up. Before you change it make sure that you find the problem that is plugging it up so that you don't clog the new one up.

I was afraid of that, but he didnt say it was rotten eggs. probably sulfur though. I noticed that I have a LOT of carbon in the exhaust tips of the muffler. I use FI cleaner every month though. When I replaced the exhaust two years ago, my mechanic said that it looked okay but it may need to be replaced soon because of age. I cant imagine that a 11 year old CAT would be in perfect condition.

You know, I used to automatically think "clogged cat" too when I hear this problem, but now I have no idea where I got that from!

Check this out instead: http://www.autosite.com/garage/symptoms/sympsmel.asp The 1st and 3rd ones are probably for you.
