93 GXE Wiring issue!

I have a 93 gxe with the bose audio and electronic climate control and I have an issue with my wiring. The clock and cluster are always perfect, but the display dims for the heat, door looks work sometimes, and same with the radio, but lately the radio has stopped intirely. I know it works though because it will come on for a second when I hit a bump. I've been told it's most likely a ground wire, any help finding that wire? Thanks

To test the ground theory, get yourself a wire, 12 gauge, several/6 feet long with clips on the end. Connect one end to the radio and the other end to a good ground, some bare metal spot away from the radio. If you want, make the wire long enough to go to the battery, all the better.

Once you have the wire attached, try the radio to see if it works. If you don't have the wire on the battery, try several spots on the chassis just in case paint or something is preventing a good connection.

You have to but the jumper on metal. Plastic does not conduct electricity.

It's been a long time since I took a radio out of a 3rd gen and I cant remember how to take the plastic panels off. Do a search for radio removal and maybe you can find a how to.
