Hellow guys this for anyone that's has the obx headers I've grinded the flange down bc it wuz tapping in the rack its not hitting as much now..
now around 4000rmp it still hits the rack nd makes my car jump around I wuz woundering what you guys have done or maby I culd adjust motor mounts or anything thanks......I didn't kno about pacesetter headers I would of gotten them

The rear flange that is located @ the rear header merge you need to grind down the 3-bolt flange to clear the rack....OBX copied the Pacesetter design to the Tee!

The Flange is like this:

You can grind it to look like this on the rack side:

This was to eliminate the exhaust leak between the merging pipes! The 3-bolt flange here is the one you need to grind on one side closest to the rack. Wrap your rack with exhaust wrap as well to keep it cool and dampen the noise if it contacts the rack. I have poly filled engine mounts so my engine is really secure!

Yes, I threw the spring loaded header merge hardware in a hardware bucket and I'm using SS bolts with no springs (shorter) and I secure the merge section not to slip nor rotate at all! Cut out the third ball and socket exhaust joint and installed a small flex section and a rear flex section to allow some movement.....The floating flange can be ground with a die grinder or Dremel!
