Once the rad is topped up and there is no bubbling and just a nice swirl your good. I'd leave it idle for a bit once it's warmed up to let the thermostat open up allowing the coolant level to drop in the rad and then slowly top it up then top up the resevoir a little but well below the max mark and you should be good to go . From there just keep an eye on it for a few days and if you have no issues you should be fine.
Got it, done. Now all the dash lights went out. Good grief. I guess I need a project. . Checked the fuses and no dash light designation. Any ideas!?!? and yes, it was 4:00 am when I was working on it.

As long as it's now running like a top who needs dash lights lol just drive it during the day lol. Just kidding. Are the rear brake lights out as well? I'll have to check into it. I can't remember if it runs on that same circuit or not. Have you checked all the interior light related fuses?

Yep, tail lights too. Replaced he fuse and popped it a few more times. Had a box of 10 or 12 10amp fuses. Used 4 before they stopped blowing. Now I've wiggled wires and drove the gravel driveway a few times and it hasn't popped again ...yet. I do have a feeling this isn't over though. Hahaha. Thanks guys...the car is running great!

Atleast you know what circuit it is. Check the wiring diagram and if it does start acting up again sounds like you need to trace it and find the break. Hopefully it's not far from the fuse panel.

Check the sockets in the back lights, license plate included. I've read on here where guys have had problems with corroded sockets resulting in popped fuses. Great job though, you finally got it running right.
