maxima won't start when it's been raining

1994 maxima gxe. 120k miles in excellent condition. over the past year the car sometimes won't start when the weather has been very wet for a couple of days. car turns over, has new battery, but it won't start. if weather clears for a few days car will then start. car is garage kept. car normally has no problem starting when it's dry.

Spray the inside of your distributor cap with WD40, maybe the moisture/humidity is causing the distributor to sweat

Like CMax said. Check the distributor for signs of moisture or even any hairline cracks. Also check your wires. Try doing a tune up if one hasn't been done in awhile. Definately start with cap and rotor, wires and ignition coil under the distributor. Wires could be arcing. Is it cranking strong? What is it doing when your turning the key?

engine cranks strongly, just won't start. battery less than 6 months old. i'll try the dw40. cars always starts on first crank when dry. this only happens when it stays wet for a couple of days.

I'd just be careful spraying too much because the rotor causes friction. I'd also definately check for cracks and check or replace the wires.
