How come on my car the windows work like crap now? They slide up and down slower and sometimes dont work at all. Someone help and give advice on what I should do Please...

I had a similar problem on my car once. Go to your dealership and have them look at your door mechanisms and switches. That might help.

 

no dont! that costs money

just get some silicon lubricant, or wd 40 and spray the rubber track where the window slides in on the side of the window (the thing in the door), because that rubber dries out over time and the windows get stuck. it worked for me!

 

its the window regulator...common problem on 3rd gens...go to Craigs window regulator replacement instructions: http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte671n/mymax.html on the How To section

 

...but u can try Brandon's tip first then if the windows are still getting stuck then its the regulator

 

The lubrication suggestion is good. Another good product is Rust check spray - works well as a lubricant and doesn't stain.

Just a thought - you don't have a voltage problem do you - ie: alternator not working? How long has this been a problem and what has changed from before?
