'91 Maxima ECCS no power; Theft Warning suspected
Is anyone available that's moderately familiar with the power scheme of the ECCS? I've figured out that pin 16 drops from positive voltage to ground in order to trigger ECCS relay but what triggers pin 16 to go to ground and what interaction between the theft warning module and ECCS takes place to immobilize the vehicle?
I've got a good understanding of electronics, troubleshooting, etc. and I've got everything under and behind the dashboard exposed. I have the DIY AllData access for the vehicle but this process was intended to prevent theft so there's no step-by-step instructions nor any theory of operation available (that I've found.)
I'll do my best to provide a complete written description of the whole scenario if anyone is willing to shed some light on the subject. I've identified a couple of missing steps in my troubleshooting that I'm about to execute which might possibly be the fix. If not, I'll have eliminated a lot of possible causes.
