Could you tell me who made your bose radio. Is it Clarion? I had all kinds of trouble but not like this one. Majority of the problems with radios are poor quality saudering. which broke or deteorated with age. That is a cheap fix. Take it to any stereo repair shop(depending on where you live) and they should not charge you more than $80-90. Unless you want to ditch and buy entirly new system. I paid $85 for my tape/CD combo repair. It is made by Clarion for Bose. What year is your car?

All Bose stereos in Nissans are made by Clarion. They're called Clarion Bose. Delco makes the head units for Chevy, Pioneer for Ford, and so on. Bose makes the speakers and I think the amps, that's it. It would probably be more worth your money to buy a new Bose system if that's what you want to stay with, I'm thinking of letting mine go for about $150 for all of it, I just don't have the cd changer.
Chris what year is yours also what is it just tape..u say about $150 with shipping and all are all four speakers in working condition
Plz let me know...also do you know what kind of power it lets out (ex.100watts)

It's out of an '89 Max. The only reason I took it out was because I have all CD's, I didn't want to blow the Bose speakers (they are just too expensive!) and I already had a complete system from my '87 Max that someone rear-ended me and totalled it. So, I planned on putting the Bose in my '66 Ford truck but haven't gotten around to it. I've been told though, that certain CD changers that clarion makes will plug into the Bose version deck, I don't know how true this is, I had a Clarion deck and changer about 6 months ago, I had it for some time and sold it to buy the new Alpine 4v pre out w/blackout face. But, everything works, I even put the Bose deck back in untill my Alpine came in! The amps, I guess put out probably between 25-45 watts a peice considering that the speakers are specailly made having low ohms, therefore increasing the output on the amps (lower ohms, higher amp output). I know that I had to buy Kicker free air 6x9's to match the sound and bass that the Bose speakers put out!
I feel your pain
I have a '90 SE and i replaced the stereo head unit and found out that is does have a changer connection but when I hooked up the new head unit with a couple of subs it messed with the speakers and i regret doing it. Now I have to replace all the speakers to get the sound I am looking for. The changer runs about 250 or there is a connecter so that any changer will work but I am not sure where to find it. I have my old head unit I will sell for 60 with shipping included. email for details.
