If im not mistaken when checking codes you can read them from ecu itself or the flash codes the check engine light gives you on the dash.

There are different modes. Mode two is the diagnostic I believe and mode four deletes the code. There is a post somewhere here that explains it.
Is the car still not starting?

Still no start. Checked injectors today and there good. Checked fuel pressure and it was on 40 psi when primed. Which is good. I did find 1 new issue.

A ground wire on top of intake manifold next to cyclinder 1 and next to power steering reservoir had no continuity. The others did. Do you know where this ground leads to?

Not sure where that lead goes. I thought they were for the injectors. Mine is the vg so forgive me if this is a stupid question but, have you checked you distributor?
I should be on John young this wkend so if you need to compare readings on the ground wires you can let me know and I will swing by with my car.

That ground at the intake manifold is for the injectors on the vg but im not sure about the ve. Also Tony has the ve so he has coils no distributor.

What are the the chances of a junkyard power transistor unit was bad. Im thinking of buying a new one n test if it works if it doesnt ill get refund.

I also check ecu for codes and it came up with 12 which means bad maf sensor. But i dont think tgat can cause a no start.

Sure its possible but those arent generally something that goes out too often as far as i know. Have you tried unplugging the maf and plugging it back in? Also have you put the stock injectors back in?

Well that's the problem right there, you find a way to put a distributor in lol. Unfortunately I know nothing about the ve but I hope you get it figured out soon. Good luck.

Yes it can, I already showed you that an unplugged MAF wouldn't allow my VE to start.

The fact that you are getting a MAF code should absolutely be reason for you to swap the MAF to rule it out.

All 3rd gens use the same MAF. The only other car that uses the same MAF is the very rare Infiniti M30. I don't think I've ever seen one at the junkyard. But you can use a VG MAF which should be in decent supply.

The J30 uses the same MAF as the Z32 - that's why the J30 has sort of been a "secret" budget option for the Z32 MAF upgrade. For some reason at a lot of places when you buy Z32 parts they jack up the prices. But they don't for a regular old sedan. J30 and Z32 MAF use the "N62" labeled MAF - this is the one necessary for boost builds used by us and all 240 guys and all sorts of other Nissan guys.

The Q45 has its own MAF that is not compatible with any other model.
