windows stopped working

been having trouble with a couple of windows on my car. had mechanic disconnect the back rear window because it was draining the battery. another window will not operate from the driver's control.
yesterday all the windows stopped operating. the power lock button is not on.
any ideas? thanks

Try and find one at your local junkyard or take a chance with a used one on eBay.

i believe it just pops right out, gently pry with a plastic pry tool. honestly for a 3rd gen just go to the junkyard and get one from a car there, you can see how to remove it as well without damaging your own vehicle. after it pries out you just unplug it, 5 minute job

Very simple to replace. Chrome has a good point if you can find one at a local scrapyard you'll figure out and see how to remove it from the scrap car before working on your own car. If you cant find one at a local yard i've seen a few on ebay. I may have one kicking around if your really stuck but im in Canada so you'd have to cover the shipping. Pm me if your stuck but check locally first would probably be your best bet.

one more question. why would the master window control on the driver's door prevent the other windows from operating? before all the windows stopped operating, the passenger side front window would not operate from the master control, but would operate from the passenger side window control on that door.

i purchased used switches before and they all have messed up issues. i got a new one and now the express down lever actually works now instead of going down half way or something.
