'93 GXE no power when cold
My '93 GXE has a problem that has stumped several experts and the dealership. Following getting new tires and an alignment (who knows if this is connected) the car has no power when cold. Until the temp gets to the middle of the temp gauge, the engine will not go above 1500 RPM or so, and drives only 10-15 MPH. Once warm all is fine. No trouble codes from the computer, no dash lights. The weather has been colder than usual - around freezing. All sensors seem OK. The car is otherwise in mint condition, only 50,000 KM. Any hints?
Thanks

Hmm, that is a weird problem. You said all sensors seem okay - is from someone testing them? What else does the car do while cold? Idles funny, idles too slow or too fast, black smoke from tailpipe, etc? What happens when you try to rev it over 1500 RPM?
Some more details and descriptions about everything you can think of would be helpful. Nissan's FSM doesn't cover this precisely, only "hesitation" and "lack of power", and their checks are very short - spark plugs, air intake leaks, Mass Air Flow Sensor (heaven forbid!), fuel pressure.
BTW, where in BC are you? I'm all alone (for 3rd Gens anyway) in the Vancouver area.

While cold - no power, no go over 1500 rpm, drives very slowly with clunky trans shifts, does not stall but seems always on the verge of stalling, when in neutral seems completely normal. No odd exhaust. idle in neutral is totally normal.
And is normal when fully warmed up. Had it in for the last two days at Southside Nissan in Vancouver - they could not reproduce the problem until they had it on the hoist and were spraying (to clean??) the underside of the car, then the problem started. They want to disconnect the Ox sensor to see if that is related to the problem. Where in BC? Downtown Vancouver.
