no not a 300Z TT engine, no sr20's, KA's or VG33e's (even with a sc)

VQ30DE from a 95/96 max or a VQ35 if it makes it to a FWD platform

things already established:
need all wiring and ecu
may not fit on ve's equipped with ABS if engine was to be SCed (who needs abs anyway?)
possible engine mount issues w/ 3rd engine mount on VQ block.
half shafts

new thoughts
engine clearance w/ hood? seems to be taller than VG.. optical illusion?
are the accessories set up different on the VQ?
where is the oil pain in comparison?
are there gages and switched on a 4th gen that are not on a 3rd gen?
power steering
how will brakes be effected?
h20 pump/radiator - how are the cooling lines run?
tranny cooler

Just wonderin but why?

1: expensive
2robably cheaper to just get 4th gen.
3: VG30E-T fits easier and would make more power, and cheaper.

Re: Just wonderin but why?

I don't think that the swap would be any more expensive than doing a proper build up on a NA VG30. I know a few people that have good connections for engines.

a low millage 4th gen is still over 10K

my target is ~300hp which is easily obtainable with either engine with respecive boost applications. advantages for the vq is that there is a FWD LSD avaiable from the tranny from the I30T. No LSD for FWD maxes and I don't trust qualife's AE job they do.

other reasons whey i want to swap it into the 3rd gen:
Lighter platform
independant suspension on all 4 corners
smaller vehicle
lower center of gravity before the engine is installed.
styling is nicer

unique project
