Gas smell

When I first start it when cold, I get a gas smell for someplace.
I've looked at the lines, around the injectors, but don't see anything.
After a few minutes, the smell goes away, and is gone until it starts cold again.
Any ideal???

Your injectors are failing.

The fuel smell is likely from the exhaust.

But … start the car.

Confirm the fuel smell is the exhaust.

If yes, it’s the fuel injectors.

I'll check the hose.

Not sure, it could be when the rubber gets warmer it seals up a bit better and the smell isn't as noticeable. I remember 10-15 years back there were numerous 3rd gen threads about the gas smell being bad on cold start and the majority ended up being the hose
