STALLING PROBLEM 92se VE30DE ENGINE
I OWN THIS MAXIMA SINCE EARLY 1993 I BOUGHT IT WITH 12K MILES, UP UNTIL I IT REACHED 55K I DID A VTC AND SINCE I'M HAVING STALLING, JERKING, HARD SHIFTING PROBLEM, EVERY NISSAN DEALER IN MY AREA AKRON, OH HAD A LOOK INTO IT TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THEY RECOMENDED TIMING CAHIN ADJ. TUNE UPS..ETC. THE PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENS WHILE I'M DRIVING
I CHANGED THE FOLLOWING: TPS, AFM, TWO INJECTORS, MUFFLER ASSEMBLY, AND MOST RECENTLY MY ECU UNIT. IT IS MAKING ME SICK
THE PROBLEM IS I DRIVE 52 MILES TO WORK AND GET TO SEE EVERYTHING THIS CAR DOES, SOMETIMES I HAVE TO PULL OVER SO PEOPLE BEHIND ME PASS THRU. MOST RECENTLY THE RPM NEEDLE JUMB FROM 2500 TO 0 FOR TWO SECONDS THEN KICK BACK TO 2500 RPM WHILE IT IS DOING THAT IT STALL AND SHIFT HARD.
ANY HELP OR RECOMENDATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,

did you replace the fuel filter?
Also, I think there was a technical service bulliten on one of the relays (ignition relay???maybe). That caused the engine to cut out.
Your problem sounds electrical.
How many miles is on it now?

THANKS FOR THE REPLY eric93SE. THIS CAR HAS 125K
I CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER EVERY 12,000 MILES. SOMETIMES AFTER IT STALLS THE ENGINE ACTUALLY CUT OUT EVEN IF I'M GOING 65-70MPH. IT FEELS THAT THE ENGINE NEED MORE POWER OR GAS SUPPLY COULD IT BE THE FUEL PUMP. THANKS
DUDE TURN OFF YOUR CAP LOCK....ITS CONSIDERED SHOUTING!!!
Yeah it could be crap in the fuel tank that blocks the filter screen thats on the fuel pump. I've seen this on my mothers van. It is very possible.
You must be very carful when playing with the fuel pump or gasoline, But to flush out the fuel tank is possible (but very dangerous). If you were to have a 1/2 full tank then siphon out the gas (throwing it away, disposing of it properly). and then repeating this with fresh gas, might get the crap out of the gas tank. Its just a suggestion but I cannot be responsible for any mistakes

yup.. be sure to put your crack pipe down while doing this job.. gasoline and burning crack pipes don't mix!
:
other problems you might check at the ignition coil packs on the cylinders.. they sometimes crack and cause poor idling, but it shouldn't cause the car to die like that.
service manual says to
1. perform power balance test (unplug injectors one at a time and see if the engine drops RPM for a second)
2. check injectors (you've done that)
3. check ignition spark (I just said that above)
4. check fuel pressure. should be ~36psi at idle, 43psi at full throttle and right after ignition switch is turned on.
5. check for intake air leak (pinch blow-by hose on back of engine. if rpm goes up, you've got an air leak somewhere)
6. check computer and wiring and fix/replace

replace the fuel pump relay..its in the trunk, next to the trunkpopper unit thingy (i'm so technical). thats what was happening with my car, except it just wouldnt start sometimes instead of stalling.
i replace that, the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body..something in that mix worked because now its fine.

Check the coil packs. Been there, done that. Don't let Nissan give you the run around like they did to my dad on parts and replace everything like they've been doing. But look on the bright side, now you all new parts
