Installed MP3 player

I just got my Sony CDX-MP450x MP3 player installed. It's great. I just put 158 mp3 files on one disc !!! I love it. No more running through 20 or so cd's. Now if I could just remember where my favorites are located. Overpaid for it, but that is the price to pay for impatience.

It's a nice player. It never skipped on me once, even on NYC roads! Gotta love the remote though. I got this a year ago when it first came out. I always have my friends asking how the hell I can play mp3s in my car . The one function I like the most and saves me the most time is the PATH function. You can use it to go thru your directories and files and select the song you want without going thru every track/file.

How much did that mp3 player run you?

Does that also play normal cd's?

Last question, does it display the name of the song?

Thanks
Patrick

I saw it on ebay today for $230.00 brand new. I got mine at Best Buy Monday night for $329.00. But like I said, that's the price you pay for impatience. And yes it plays regular CD's, CD-R's and CD-RW's.

Did you have any electrical problems once the MPS Player was installed?

Haven't had any yet. It just the same as installing a new CD player.

For Mp3 format CDs, the player will show up to 8 characters for folders as well as files (not including the extension .mp3). For regular audio cds, the player can scroll up to 32 characters of your track titles and cd title. As for electrical problems, I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. If you have it installed right, you sholdn't have any problems at all. I bought it from onlinecarstereo.com last year around feburary for 299.99. They had a price mistake in which I caught and I ordered immediately. I believe it was suppose to be 399.99 since other competitors were selling it around that pricetag.

The reason I ask is because I have had electrical problems with my non-bose system after installing a CD deck.

In any case, it is nice to hear you are happy with it (since it probably makes you feel a little better about paying a bit more for it).
