springs comparison......

Im looking into either sprint springs or Intrax,
I want a subtle drop, but i want a really stiff ride.
I need commments from guys who actually have either sprints or Intrax already installed.

I already have eibach pro kits, they are very nice and controlled, but not a big drop.

These springs are for my other car, i just dont want to be narrow minded and buy eibach again, i want to try another company.

well sprint and intrax are the lowest springs that will give a slammed look. Im planning on getting B+G springs. thay provide a/b a 1.6 inch drop which is right inbetween sprint/intax and eibach. plus B=G have been in the buisness fer awile and seem like a good company. for more info head to Modacar but Shox.com for the best price 179.00 hope this helps

seem to be the cheapest right now on springs, (from what i can find)

I know that eibach lowers less than what they claim they lower.

I wonder how intrax and sprint are with what they claim they drop.

i thought sprints were 1.8 and intrax 1.75, not that you will notice that anyway...but i say go with sprints so you can give me a comparison on sprints/eibachs

this topic about springs has been beaten to death. i guarantee if you took the time to enter a few simple keywords into the search, it would yield the answers to all of the questions in this thread...

I have searched, and need more info.
These springs wont be on a maxima, they will be for a Mitsu Mirage turbo, kinda like an eclipse in sheeps clothing.
I need the lowest drop available for a talon/eclipse, cause my Mirage is 450lbs lighter than those cars, but uses the same suspension/brake setup, so in other words, since my car is lighter, the drop will be less than on a talon. In essence, a 2" drop on a talon might only be 1.5" on my Mirage, plus, factor in the higher spring rates!

I dont really care for control this year, i just want a stiff ride, and low enuff to look nice, next year i will go with DSS coilovers, made specifically for my car.

I need to plant a money tree this year!

then why post here? springs from different brands are different from car to car. if we post our experiences related to a maxima for company X, the experience for a mirage will most likely be different...

Nobody on www.4g61t.com has used sprints yet. I will be the first.(Maybe you guys should learn more on the colt/mirage, you might be surprised how underestimated these ****boxes are)

as far as why post here, Its cause each company is different in the springs they use, and so far, from my experience and from talking to other ppl, each company seems to have the same characteristics with their springs for all the cars they make springs for.
(ie.Intrax seem to have the lowest drop, and harshest ride, Eibach have the least drop, but the most controlled/balanced ride, and H&R............)

Ive got eibachs on my Maxima, as does my buddies talon, and my buddies 88 323 turbo, they all ride the same as compared to factory springs.
Eibach ride a little tight , and are nicely balanced.

the 88 turbo 323 was changed over to H&R's, and the ride is less bumpy than eibachs, but just as well balanced.
The feel like factory springs when driving normal.

Many guys with the talon say the same with the H&R setup, confortable yet controlled/balanced ride.

And like many of you maximaheads with INTRAX, You all say the ride is harsh, and isn't it funny how talon/eclipse guys with Intraxx say the same?!!!!

So Im posting here to hear what the Sprint sported maxima owners have to say about the Sprint spring.

Now I'd like to have some better input, other than "why am i posting in a maxipad.org forum rather than our own .org for Mirage/colt"

I hate being answered with a question! sheesh.

last weekend i installed ST springs and KYB struts (GR-2) and the drop is noticeable, handling is very improved.
the front is, for some reason, a little higher than the rear, but i think these springs settle, right?
anyway, i've very satisfied with these springs, i also got them for $174 shipped i think.

also, as far as clearance over speed bumps and stuff, i've hit some pretty nasty bumps without seeing how deep they were, never bottomed out, i also clear the speedbumps at school with a full tank of gas and 3 people in the back seat.

my sprints handle just fine, as far as harshness its not as harsh as my friend's supratt w/ eibach, or my friends stealth with intrax

my springs seems a lil soft, but thats probably the struts im using, tokico seem to soft, (im going to swap them out for koni's)

the drop with my sprints were very noticable the very first time i lowered my car after i installed the springs.

only about a half in gap left between the wheel well and stock rim/tire combo
